How much is my company's historical data worth?
There is no simple price-per-gigabyte. Buyers look at how many people worked there, which systems they used and how many years of history exist. Aftergold helps you get a sense of buyer interest before you decide whether to go further.
How do buyers think about company data value?
A data buyer asks how useful the dataset is to them. Aftergold asks a different question: what is the value of what this business spent years creating, and how do we help them understand the market for it?
Those two questions can land on the same number. They start from different chairs. Buyers are not villains for thinking like buyers. Aftergold exists so you are not sitting in their chair by default.
What actually moves the number?
Headcount is people solving problems. Software is where that work was captured. Years in business are years of decisions, mistakes and recoveries. Historical operational data is the trail that left behind.
A very small dataset may be in the $25K range. A large one can reach $1M+, and some licenses become recurring. The only honest first step is to see whether potential data buyers are interested.
Can Aftergold tell me the number today?
We can help you find out. The 3-minute intake is free and does not commit you to a deal. See also How much is my company's data worth?
